A Legacy of Love
Meet the Family Behind the Ranch
We're the Taylors, and we're honored to call this beautiful piece of land both our home and our heritage. This 500-acre working ranch has been in our family for five generations, first built by our great-great-grandparents and lovingly passed down ever since. What started as a working Quarter Horse and Texas Longhorn Cattle Ranch has grown into something much more meaningful.
Over the years, this land has seen roundups, Sunday suppers, and the kind of everyday moments that shape a family. The barns and pastures you see today were once solely for tending horses and cattle. Today, they're also a place where new stories begin, as we share this piece of Cane Creek Valley with couples from across the region.

THROUGH THE YEARS
From working cattle ranch to wedding venue, this land has always been a place for connection, celebration, and lasting memories.
1928
Land is purchased in the Cane Creek Valley by our great-great-grandparents, who raise Quarter Horses and build the first homestead on the property.
1946
The barn is constructed using hand-milled lumber and quickly becomes the heart of the ranch, storing hay, sheltering livestock, and serving as a gathering place for neighbors and family alike.
1967
The first wedding takes place under the trees near the barn when the Taylors' daughter marries her high school sweetheart. It becomes a treasured family tradition.
1985
The second generation takes over daily operations and begins hosting private events on the ranch, planting the seed for what would one day become Taylor Ranch Events.
2013
The third generation begins taking a more active role in the ranch's future, bringing new vision and fresh ideas while honoring the legacy of those who came before them.
2021
The Taylor family officially launches Taylor Ranch Events as a full-service wedding venue, opening the barns and pastures to couples from across the region while continuing the ranch's working cattle and horse operations.
2015
The historic barn is lovingly restored and the ranch's first dedicated event spaces are added, as the family begins welcoming a small number of private celebrations alongside its daily ranching work.
